Philanthropy

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is Chi Omega’s National Philanthropy. Since the start of our national alliance in 2002, Chi Omegas have made a difference in many children’s lives through volunteering time, talents, and dollars. Chi Omega, nationally, has raised over $5.5 million and given over 375,800 volunteer hours. The Make-A-Wish Foundation recognizes Chi Omega as one of their “Cause Champion” sponsors and our chapter is proud to contribute.

Chi Omega at the University of Pennsylvania holds a casino event each fall and a color wars event during the spring to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. At Chisino this past fall, we raised over $3,000.  During Spring 2012, different frats and organizations formed teams and competed in a series of events for our first annual Chi O Color Wars. Both events are extremely rewarding and fun, and true examples of the sisterhood we’re so lucky to be a part of!

Chi Omega sisters have also taken part in the annual Relay for Life, Operation Santa Claus, Alternative Spring Break, and Habitat for Humanity in groups or of their own initiative. The Chi Omega sisterhood fosters a spirit of service and a willingness to give back that we are very proud of.
